Igor Goncharenko, Professor

Igor Goncharenko received his MS in Control Systems from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and PhD in Computer Science from the Russian Academy of Science. Before moving to Japan, he has worked as a researcher at the Institute of Automation and Control Processes, Vladivostok, Russia. In 1995, he joined the Mechanical Engineering Lab, AIST, Tsukuba, Japan, and then he has been a Visiting Associate Professor at the Department of Precision Machinery Engineering, the University of Tokyo. Before joining Ritsumeikan University, he worked as a Chief Researcher at 3D Inc. - DENSO Group, Yokohama. His current research interests are in the fields of human motion analysis, digital human modelling, and using sensor data for human-centered research.

Yanlei Gu, Lecturer

Yanlei Gu received his M.E. degree from Harbin University of Science and Technology, China, in 2008 and his Ph.D. degree from Nagoya University, Japan, in 2012. He was a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Industrial Science at The University of Tokyo since from 2013. He becomes a lecture in Ritsumeikan University from 2019. His research interests include GNSS positioning, computer vision and deep learning and their applications to ITS. He is a member of the IEEE ITS Society. He has served as the organizing committee member for IEEE ICVES2015 and ITSC2017.
