Igor Goncharenko, Professor
Igor Goncharenko received his MS in Control Systems from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and PhD in Computer Science from the the Russian Academy of Science. He has worked as a researcher at the Institute of Automation and Control Processes, Vladivostok, Russia. In 1995, he joined the Mechanical Engineering Lab, AIST, Tsukuba, Japan, and from 1997 to 2000 he has been a Visiting Associate Professor at the Department of Precision Machinery Engineering, the University of Tokyo. Before joining Ritsumeikan University, he worked as a Chief Researcher at 3D Inc. - DENSO Group, Yokohama. His current research interests are in the fields of human movement studies, scientific visualisation, and digital human modelling.
